The Series 2 and 2a are considered some of the most hardy and iconic of the Land Rover models. The late 2a is distinguished from the earlier ones by the headlights moving out from the centre onto the wings. It can generally be told from Series 3 by the 2a style wire grille rather than the moulded plastic version. There are some missing clues yet for this particular one and it could land anywhere between a Series 2 and a Series 3 but it seems to have a later registration and is a 109″ station wagon variant with tropical roof, Brownchurch style roof rack, and ladder.
